As a brand trusted since 1928, Bango introduces a new variant featuring an intensely deep black colour derived from Mallika fermented soybeans, delivering a rich savoury taste. This makes it a natural flavour enhancer, perfect for elevating the deliciousness of every dish.

The client required a design that clearly demonstrates the product’s direct impact on dishes, allowing consumers to immediately recognize the benefits from this variant, especially for savoury cuisine.
The black colour is strengthened to become more dominant without eliminating the brand’s signature identity colour.
The key design challenge lies in harmonizing Bango’s iconic green with the new dominant black variant, while preserving the brand’s originality and the long-established public perception.
We recognize that every drop of Bango soy sauce has a powerful influence on the final cooking result. Therefore, we visualized a single drop of soy sauce falling onto a dish, transforming it into a more appetizing meal with a rich, mouthwatering colour.
Delivering appetizing visuals relevant
to the target audience
Most consumers use Bango soy sauce not only as a flavour enhancer but also to create a darker, more appetizing appearance in their dishes. Based on this insight, fried rice was selected as the key visual representation—an iconic, everyday dish closely associated with soy sauce usage.
Fried rice also clearly demonstrates the dramatic colour transformation that occurs when soy sauce is added. Through this approach, the resulting visual presents a dish that appears richer and more savoury, effectively communicating the product’s message.
Emphasizing variant differentiation through colour strategy
The black colour is highlighted as a direct visual cue for the Extra Dark Savory variant, enabling consumers to instantly recognize its key advantage at first glance. Meanwhile, Bango’s signature green is retained to reinforce the brand positioning that has long been familiar to the public.
